Work to Live? Live to Work?.... Which one is it to be? Or indeed does it have to be?
The facts are we are not likely to win the Lotto and if we are to live a ''normal'' life then
we will indeed be working to live..... mortgage, car payments, utility bills, council tax,
the list is endless... So work we must! And increasingly so! Longer hours, weekends and much more. So it's clear i am of the 'school of thought'.... You're born, you work like an idiot and then You die!... and that's your lot! Lump it or like it!... A 'bingo' moment..... Yet it is to clear to 'regular readers' that since the arrival of baby Jacob [and not to forget all the other new human beings in one way or another having an impact on me.... Molly, Dixie, Henry, Eve and the like....] my should we say 'persepective' on life is changing.
 
Making no excuses ask those that know me and i can be a right 'selfish sod'... but
things are changing, my outlook and expectations altering too. Maturing and realising that there is more than simply 'me,me,me'! [Hey i'm a product of the 80's, Thatcher's children and in the 80's i was not 'nice to know'!.. Agree not exactly ''perfect'' now but believe me in the 86,87,88 period.... o'h i was a dreadful excuse for a human being! [still am!... don't deny it!]
 
Circumstances 'dictate' the pattern & paths by which we live.. believe me i'd be in
NW3 working my '***s off to make ends meet in the big, bad, city if i could....yet?
Call it the 'Jacob factor'.... Work to Live? Live to Work?
 
I think what i'm trying to say it is too obvious to state 'don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today....tomorrow 'never' arrives!.. life too short and all the other cliches I could run out. As i type this the first of the what we hope will be the spring sunshine is here and our attentions turn to the warmer days ahead and the pleasures they will bring. [Young Lewis was here chatting in a refreshing way about planting vegetables & seeds in the garden...forget 'X'Box.... the future is indeed looking brighter!]
