Just bulding up my new bike...a Specialized Tricross. After much deliberation over what to buy, my problem is now solved.

You see I want a bike that I can take out through winter, get fit (start) take off road over some green lanes and possibly look at doing some major touring miles this summer. The Tricross seems to hit the nail on the head, it's got stacks of tyre clearance, will take a full mudguard, racks both front and rear, with a relaxed riding position. In fact ,since we took one in for a customer we've had countless enquiries!                

So three into one does seem to be achievable. The coast to coast will be my target this year, chuck a tent on the back of the bike (we're getting some rather smart pannier sets in stock) and off I go. Anyone fancy? I let you know how the bike gets on.
