THINGS NOT TO DO....

Yes, back from NW3, feeling o'h so good! Baby Jacob and all that is 'fine & dandy' in London town. Speaking of babies, 'congratulations' to The Pugh Family, The Sprys and The Carters. Babies 'galore'! And all good we believe. [Blimey you can tell i've been changing nappies!]

Right down to business!.. The best Mens lifestyle magazine has to be 'Esquire'.

If You don't read it You jolly well should! The December edition has a brilliantly observed article entitled.... '30 Things not to do after 30'....now i do hope that the demographics of this column include some regualr readers under that age?

However i'm sadly not!.[Just over by a year or 6!] Two 'Things' for me stood out and i believe are very relevant to what some of you describe as 'me ''banging on about'' on a regular basis.

1/ Wear Polo shirt with the collars up. Please 'gods', just don't! As the article says 'who do You think You are - Prince William? I can't think of anyone more 'pathetic'! As You know we stock both Howies & Fox 'Polos' but if so much as one of You emerged from the changing room with the collar up i would suddenly 'be your Mother'! Collars down! Neat & tidy, smart & stylish!

2/ Buy Cheap Shoes. One of my mantras since the school playground when i wore my first pair of Churchs loafers and Paul Jennings [tried] to give me a ''right kicking''.... needless to say he was wearing some 'naff' pair of scuffed Kicker 'lookalikes'. Fact! Women always check out Mens' shoes/feet when introduced [and not simply for size! Believe that theory can be 'dismissed'!] Go for an interview and the chances are the interviewernwill indeed note [your] shoes.... i know i would! Some of You will have had the 'loafer' v trainer ''talk'' from me!

So here we are into new season and our shelves have some of the very best in Winter footwear. North Wave Celsius and Specialized DeFroster 'winter' boots may cost £100.00 but believe me [& Esquire] well worth the initial expense. Buy 'cheap' buy twice! Sizes from [Euro 38 to 48] We 'pride ouselves' on our Footwear selection and know from experience that our shoes pass the 'gorgeous' test every time!

So forget the 'bad fitting' internet so-called 'bargains' that [You] invariably have to send back at great expense and wait forever for the refund! Visit the 'Russell & Bromley' of the bike world and discover 'Quality' shoes!

As for the other 28 Things Not to Do.... well go out and spend £4 on the best magazine You'll buy this year!

Esquire, of course!.
