Yes we are in a ‘’golden age’’... reading my ‘fav’ daily,

Fashion page (of course) an article about one of my ‘most important influences’, Rei Kawakubo, the designer at Comme des Garcons, this season has launched an entire Menswear Collection with a central theme of the colour ’Gold’..

Gold is as an important colour as say Black, Red or Grey... it defines so much and represents so much. So ok I hear You say ‘what the hell as some unpronounceable designer got to do with Biketreks?’….Quite! But those of You who know how my ‘’head operates’’ will be with me all the way...

It works like this: Designers introduce and the remainder of the World [eventually] catches up. Trust me, ‘it does’!

And indeed we have! In the Boutique we are one of the few stores stocking the ‘limited edition’ Scott ‘Gold’ Jersey ….. a’hhh… now it makes sense!….

But anyone worth their copy of Arena Homme and a visit to Liberty or Browns will know…[.and I will be testing You on this at a later date!]…. Raf Simons at Jil Sander too introduced a ‘blast of colour’ into this season’s collection.

And what do you know it, Pearl iZumi, Gore Bikewear and Helly Hansen all ‘play catch up’ to this, one of the world most forward-thinking designers.
